Five Ways to Style Your Midi-Dress this Fall and Winter Season

Getting more wears out of what you already own is one of the most sustainable (and economical) actions you can take to make fashion more sustainable. Here we show you five ways that can make your midi-dress warmer.

1. Style your summery midi-dress with a sweater

this is willow founder Lynda stands on some rocks in low tide at Skerries beach north of Dublin Ireland. A cloudy sky shows in an expanse behind and above. Lynda is wearing the Quinn Midi-Dress in pink with a cream 3/4 length sweater and pale pink shoes.

Pulling a sweater over your midi-dress is a quick way to add some warmth. Our founder, Lynda, is wearing the Quinn Midi-Dress in the ecovero pink tie dye splatter print with a 3/4 sleeved cream sweater, pale pink casual shoes, and tights. Beaches are not always warm, so these items added just the right amount of warmth to comfortably explore the seashore, in this case, Skerries, north of Dublin. Here is Lynda repeating this outfit later this year:

2. Throw a blazer over your midi-dress

This look also helps for overly air-conditioned offices. Add a blazer, a belt, tights and some boots or shoes for an effortlessly sophisticated look. Lynda is wearing the Quinn Midi-Dress in grey ecovero.

We also love the dotty tights from Sheertex (founders own - we are just mentioning them because they are super cute and they last for many, many, many wears, and because we love supporting sustainable Canadian clothing brands).

3. Wear your midi-dress over a turtleneck sweater or top

This look is a bit more quirky, lots of fun, and cozy. Lynda is wearing the Quinn Midi-Dress with a cream turtleneck, tights, riding boots and a belt to complete the look.

4. Cover up your midi-dress with a denim jacket

The denim jacket is one of those wardrobe staples that can make a fancy dress more casual, while adding a layer of warmth. Below, our founder Lynda is wearing her thrifted denim jacket over the Quinn Midi-Dress in our ecovero pink tie dye splatter print.

5. Add warmth this winter with a sweater-coat

A long sweater coat is just the thing to add some cozy warmth. Here, our founder Lynda is wearing a camel sweater-coat and a long camel coat over the sweater-coat. Caramel coloured riding boots finish the look. The Quinn Midi-Dress in deadstock linen. This linen is our heaviest weight linen, and suits fall and winter styling quite well.
